What is Dermaplaning and will it make my facial hair grow back thicker and darker?

Who are chemical peels for?

Chemical peels are for everyone…whether your skin is dry, oily, combination or even sensitive, we have a treatment that will work for your skin. Chemical peels come in a wide variety of strengths and are very safe and effective in improving aging, acne, discolorations, sensitive skin/rosacea by encourage cell turnover that leaves the skin looking fresh and healthy.

Can my skin be too sensitive for a facial?

Since we work carefully with your information during our consult, we know every product we use and how to treat skin so the answer is No…you’re not too sensitive when you’re with experienced and clinically trained aestheticians at Nyoka SkinCare.

Am I a candidate for Microneedling?

Most people are candidates. If you are on blood thinners or have certain medical/skin conditions, this procedure may not be for you. A consultation with our technician specifically trained to perform this treatment will determine if this process is right for you.

Does Microneedling hurt?

While some clients experience certain areas of minor discomfort, most are able to comfortably manage the treatment with the application of a topical numbing cream prior to beginning the session.

When will I start to see results from Microneedling and what areas other than my face can be microneedled?

In about 4-6 weeks you should begin seeing some improvement. The most common areas treated are face, neck and chest but it also works on stretch marks and scars on the body as well.

What is Microdermabrasion and what type do you offer?

Microdermabrasion is a dry exfoliation process that uses a diamond-coated tip to resurface the top layers of skin as it suctions out impurities and helps remove dead skin cells leaving skin fresh and clean.

Is Microdermabrasion the right treatment for me?

This non-invasive procedure is good for most skin types. A few skin conditions (cystic acne, rosacea or eczema/psoriasis, etc.) may prevent you from having this procedure but typically most clients find this process highly beneficial for smoothing and brightening areas on the face, neck, chest, hands/arms. Microdermabrasion can also be combined with a peel for added results.

What types of wax do you use bikini and leg waxing? Is it the same as you use on the face for lip and brow waxing?

Both hard and soft depending on the area being waxed, type of skin and thickness of hair.

What type of facial is best for me?
